Duke of Edinburgh Club
The Duke of Edinburgh Club runs in 130 countries around the world. To date almost 7 million young people have challenged themselves by participating in The Award. The Award is a program that encourages youth to be active, to participate in new activities and pursue current interests in the four different areas of physical activity, community service, skills, and “adventurous journey”. This is the 2nd year of the club @ SHS! Our mission is to support and help students plan & carry out their own Award journey by providing guidance and connecting them with opportunities in the community. We meet every Monday at 10:45 in room C103 & we start on time!
Participation will benefit students in several ways:
- increased awareness of the importance of being a well-rounded individual;
- a variety of experiences to add to their resume and scholarship applications;
- an award that is recognized world-wide and might set them apart from their peers.
